Always love the Tuna or Cheese & Pickle rolls and a cup of tea. Well worth the 3 mile walk through the forest to get them. Lovely walk whatever the weather.
It's an old forest institution, a haunt for motorcyclists to meet and chat about their bikes over a cup of tea. It was revamped a few years back to offer a more extensive menu of bacon, burgers, sausage and salt beef sandwiches. There is no indoor seating, you have to eat alfresco and the tables and benches are basic rustic. It's very down to earth but the food is tasty even though it doesn't stand a dog's chance of making the Masterchef final. Closed New year's Eve and New year's Day.
I have spent many happy hour talking with friends and eating good food at the green hut in Epping forest. Always nice to visit. Took a long over dew visit to the original Tea Hut last week. It's been too long see you again soon. Love this place.
Brilliant catch-up place for us bikers and a welcoming destination for all in general. Been going there for years and years. Quality grub at brilliant prices. Love it.
Lots of interesting characters there - not as many bikes as I've seen in the past - maybe because it was winter. Cake was nice but tea tasted like it had been stewing for hours. Maybe bikers prefer it that way!
