The Loughton Surgery Traps Hill Branch .. Can take forever to answer the phone. Seldom answer or deal with important emails and get things wrong. My feelings about doctors, some are good, some seem to think it's just a job and seem uncaring. Excellent Nurse Practitioners. Good WiFi connection.

My Partner was suffering today and doesn't visit the doctor often. She had tried to arrange a appointment a week ago and had managed to get a slot which was three weeks away, unfortunately today she was in a high level of pain and rang the doctors this morning to be told we will get a doctor to ring you ,but unfortunately the call was missed and she called right back but missed her slot. I took my partner to the surgery to be told we don't do walk ins and we will put you back in the system but no guarantee of a call today . then i was told she could wait in the reception and they would see what they could do. i left my partner at the surgery then to be told she was sent home as they couldn't fit her in and a doctor would call but don't know when. I rang the surgery to say this was outrageous to the receptionist and the reply is i cannot comment. I explained i will have to wait in A&E for 4 hours minimum because a doctor cannot fit their patient in . After the complaint to the receptionist by phone we have now been told they will see my partner later this afternoon at the surgery. Surgery looks great ,but if the receptionist is being told the patient is having tingling sensations down her arm and cannot move her neck whilst at the surgery i think it should be taken seriously .

The WORST surgery! If you think you are going to be seeing a doctor in person think again, youll be waiting for a call all day even if its an emergency. Was told by the receptionist they dont have emergency appointments even though every other practise in the UK does offer them? Rude, waste of time and best to avoid.

What a great renovation of the building, looks great but good looks doesn't say anything about what goes on in the inside. There seems to be a lot of people working there but that said none of them are picking up the phone, and they're not replying to emails so I've got no idea what they might be doing there??? They are nice people and when you finally are getting your service, everyone is smiley and lovely. That said I feel like the doctors are in a hurry and I most certainly do not get any feel good factor from them, very cold communication indeed. They want you out of there asap (sorry guys that's the feeling from a visitor, my opinion).

I have read the bad reviews of this practice and can only assume that they were written by people in a very stressed state. To begin with the surgery runs a system by which a number of appointments each day are reserved for urgent cases and if you phone at 8 am you are almost certain to get an appointment that day. In fact I have phoned at mid day for an urgent case and been seen that day.Secondly I have never been refused an appointment when I needed one in a hurry, either with the nurse or a doctor.Thirdly I have found the reception to be as helpful as possible and to always to respond to request politely put, in a similar polite and helpful manner.Thirdly I do believe that as patients we stress the system by not always treating it with respect, so we only have ourselves to blame. Fourthly, there are normally two or three receptionists on duty and they can only speak to one person at a time, so you may have to wait for your call to be answered. Or if your case is really urgent you can always go to the surgery. The service is in itself first class and compared to the surgeries that many of my friends attend the service is first class. The doctors and nurses that I have had to deal with have all been first class and I have not a word to say against them.I do not think that "rubbishing" reviews help practice moral and I hope that this review which reflects what I have experienced on a regular basis helps to counteract some of the nonconstructive reviews which have been posted.
