A wonderful forest with beautiful scenery delightful walks and the sound of birdsong to create a sense of harmony with nature.
Great place to enjoy walking. There are various trails to follow and maps can be picked up from the view visitor centre in chingford or the visitor centre in high beech. There are 25 fishing lakes within the forest which are all free to fish but you need a rod licence and follow the bylaws. The forest also has a heard of around 150 long horn cattle some of which are out in the forest at chingford plains and fairmead. The view at chingford also sells venison burgers and sausages and very nice beef.
