Beautiful spot in Epping Forest. The visitor centre is informative if a little unexciting. The parking is free and there is a great pub round the back, with a beer garden and kids playground. There is also a takeaway / sandwich shop. The open spaces nearby are brilliant, with great views of Waltham Abbey and beyond. There are paths in the forest for gentle walks, suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Highly recommended.
Been in London years, and finally made it to this important green space in London! So big, it can only be truly appreciated visited in stages; you have to return to appreciate it's vast spread.

Beautiful place to go to with children. Lots for them to do at the centre. Fantastic walks in the surrounding forest.
