Probably one of the best ale pubs in the area, and the good pub food.
Nice traditional pub, friendly service, good food, real ales, good value. Ample parking and the toilets are well kept. Close to Epping forest. I like this place.

This is a welcoming pub with good beer, well situated on the edge of Epping Forest. Good food from an interesting menu, very popular with locals.
I want to tell you all that this is a horrible pub ..... but sadly I cant , its by far the best pub Ive ever had the good chance to drink in , its everything a real pub should be and its how I imagine a pub to be when Im thinking of the perfect boozer , its historic, friendly and old , its now my favourite pub , please dont make it yours ...find your own .... this one is mine .A good local pub has much in common with a church, except that a pub is warmer, and there's more conversation.William Blake
